Tour Requirements

Guests are required to bring their own masks/face coverings and wear them while on California Wolf Center property (exceptions: children 2 years old or younger and people with disabilities that are unable to wear a mask). Please maintain physical distancing for the safety of our staff and guests.

Public Wolf Conservation Tour

Private Wolf Conservation Tour

  • Program includes an educational presentation on wolf conservation and guided observation of two wolf packs
  • Maximum of 6 guests
  • $250 for a one hour private tour

  • Reservations are required.
  • Pets are not allowed and may not be left in vehicles during your visit.
  • All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Check in time is half an hour before the scheduled start time. No early admittance prior to tour check in. As a courtesy to others, late arrivals will not be admitted.
  • All visitors need a vehicle to access our center, and we cannot accommodate drop offs.
  • Please wait for an escort when you reach the dirt road. For your safety and for the safety of the animals on exhibit, all tours are guided. You must remain with your escort and/or guide at all times.
  • The California Wolf Center maintains accessibility for all guests. Please notify our check-in team if you require ADA accessible parking. If you have any questions regarding access, please .
  • Cameras and binoculars are welcome. Photographs may be taken through the habitat fences.
  • We experience extreme temperatures and weather conditions. Wear comfortable closed-toed walking shoes and bring sun protection. Summer weather can be very hot and dry, and winter weather can be cold and wet. Please check weather and road conditions before your visit.
  • We sell bottled water, but we recommend bringing your own.
  • We are located down 3/4 of a mile of rugged dirt road. Please drive slowly on this road (10 miles per hour or less). Large vehicles (buses, RVs, etc) and motorcycles are not permitted on this road. In wet weather, the road to the Center may be difficult or impossible to navigate without 4-wheel drive.
  • It is sometimes necessary to cancel programs due to weather. Every effort will be made to contact you before the time of the program if this occurs.
  • Please note that the land surrounding the California Wolf Center is private property whose owners are not associated with the California Wolf Center. Please respect their property rights and refrain from entering their property. Trespassers may be prosecuted to the extent allowed by law.
  • Cancellation and Refund Policy: Guests may cancel up to 24 hours in advance of their tour to be eligible for a refund. To cancel your tour, please call 760-765-0030 extension 1. No refunds will be issued for cancelling less than 24 hours before scheduled tour.
